Charlie McAlexander, known as Charlie Mac or C. Mac, earned numerous accolades calling games for four SEC schools while becoming a fan favorite on WSMV-TV in Nashville. He was named Sportscaster of the Year in four different states, nine times in all.
Admitting that he was not a great student and was driven by fear, the Mississippi native shares anecdotes about some of the biggest names in sports, including Archie Manning and Walter Payton. Recently profiled in Delta Magazine, he will tell you that in a parallel universe his career would have been in the music business, fronting several bands through the decades.
